Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure aimed at stimulating skin regeneration through the injection of various rejuvenating agents using a bundle of fine needles. Facial microneedling is considered to be a gentle alternative to mesotherapy.
The microneedling procedure is aimed at rejuvenating the skin of the face and body, treating acne and post-acne, including scars, as well as correcting various skin imperfections (stretch marks, pigment spots, cellulite) through the following steps:
- Firstly, inflammation is soothed and elasticity and firmness of the skin are improved due to injections of antioxidants or agents that stimulate collagen production, into the surface layers of the skin.
- Secondly, skin is pierced with a bundle of fine needles, which leads to micro-damage that boosts cell regeneration and cellular metabolism. The superficial layers of the skin are renewed, and scars, pigmentation and stretch marks are eliminated. At the same time, the complexion is evened out and a natural glow appears.
The procedure is based on the manual treatment of the skin with a special derma roller with needles. It moves along the epidermis smoothly and safely and injects special agents. Various depths are possible, and their selection depends on the individual characteristics of the patient.
The procedure can be performed both superficially and in the muscle fascia.
The derma roller looks like a round brush with special, medical microneedles instead of fibers.
