Dermal fillers

The most popular remedy in modern aesthetic medicine is fillers, i.e. special substances used to correct visual defects.

Fillers are innovative cosmetic products used as a corrector for the skin and subcutaneous tissues of the face. Most often, fillers help smooth out wrinkles, various skin folds and improve the face contour. They can be used for both literal filling of wrinkles (for example, between the eyebrows), or changing the contour of the face. For example, you can make the cheekbones look fuller or add some expression to the chin. As a rule, a specialist selects a scheme tailored for certain problems.

The advantages of using fillers are great: the procedure is quick and offers an instant, noticeable result with possible local corrections. In addition, the use of fillers does not change facial expressions (unlike plastic surgery) and improves the complexion and the condition of the skin.

Injection sites:

  • Face,
  • Nasolabial folds,
  • Skin ptosis (sagging), deep wrinkles,
  • Descended mouth corners,
  • Lip augmentation,
  • Face modeling (contour) and cheekbone augmentation, and
  • Skin of the chest and neck and other areas.

Any filler is injected subcutaneously with a needle. The preparation is supplied in a sterile-packed syringe. Adding volume to areas lacking it, the filler evens out the skin surface.

Types of fillers:

Fillers can be divided into two large groups: hyaluronic and chemical fillers (the ones that have no analogues inside our bodies). The hyaluronic fillers are the most universal ones as they are based on hyaluronic acid, which is an integral natural biopolymer component of the intercellular substance. One molecule of hyaluronic acid is able to hold about 500 water molecules around itself.

Injectable fillers: Restylane, Juvederm, Surgiderm, etc.

The procedure:

The procedure is safe. It is carried out in sterile conditions with the use of disposable materials. Injections are performed with special needles that reduce skin trauma. A specialist examines the treatment area for microtraumas and inflammations. If the skin condition allows for performing the procedure, then an antiseptic is applied and the selected preparation is injected into the layers of the skin with thin needles. The wrinkle filling procedure helps to get rid of the signs of aging for up to 18 months.

The procedure is performed by an RN/BSN certified MICHELLE AESTOX specialist.

Contraindications:

  • Blood disorders and clotting defects,
  • Exacerbation of chronic and infectious processes,
  • Pregnancy and lactation,
  • Oncology, and
  • Inflammation at the correction area.

Recommendations after the procedure:

Limit the use of decorative cosmetics for 5 days. Stay away from pools, saunas and sun tanning parlors. Carefully monitor the skin condition after the injections.
